VISA Set To IPO Mid-March.....!!!

With the stock symbol, (V), VISA plans on debuting their long-anticipated IPO with week of March 16th, 2008. Mark that down on your calendars, or better yet open up a brokerage account and buy as many shares as you possibly can.

More on this soon...

Self-Help Guru Anthony Robbins is 7 Years Old Today

Anthony Robbins is one of the most famous leap-year babies. So being born Feb. 29, 1960, he is officially 7 years old today.

He is an example of the real American Dream. If you know anything about him or have read any of his books or attended any of his seminars, he is the real deal.

If more of the world was like him, it would be a happier, BIGGER place. He is a true giant in the self-help realm as well as a giant in real life.

Did you see his cameo is "Shallow Hal" starring Jack Black and George Castanza from Seinfeld?

Check out his website at: www.tonyrobbins.com

Cool Girl Giving the Double Bird

I had to post this funny photo of a girl giving the double bird in the background. It made me chuckle too.

Goodbye Windows VISTA, Hello Windows 7

Well, it seems like Microsoft messed up again with their operating system, Windows Vista. The software behemouth is already working on Vista's successor now called, "Windows 7."

So what was wrong with Vista? First off, if I wanted my computer screen to look like a Mac, then I would have bought a Mac. Second, Vista is a huge program that takes a good amount of time to load up - and once it is open, it gives you a whole bunch of screen enhancements that you will likely end up turning off. Third, from a functional standpoint, having Vista means that you will have super-annoying compatibility issues.

I also do not like the fact that Microsoft tends to perpetuate so many of the traditional problems of bugs, security issues and overall sucktitude. Their virtual monopoly of the computer industry allows them to control us - the consumers of computer technology.

Barack Obama & The Power of the Internet

So everybody knows by now, the audacious campaign driven by Barack Obama. This was the first time that a US Presidential candidate truly embraced the power of the internet to gain support. It has been said that 90% of Obama's funds were donations under $200 - much of this support was through online donations.

I've been receiving emails from the Obama '08 people for several months now... each email talks about the need for real change and how each of us can contribute to a new America. And right there down at the bottom of each online mailing is a big "Donate Now" button.

Where has Hillary Clinton's campaign geniuses been in terms of utilizing the internet? Why hasn't she shadowed the success of Obama by launching an all out virtual campaign? She has "Xeroxed" so many of Obama's ideas already - first he was for change... then Hillary is the real change... first Obama said, "Yes We Can"... then Hillary says, "Yes We Will"... first Obama has people passing out at his rallies... then Hillary has "someone" pass out during one of hers.

I am not supporting either candidate, I am just reporting on what has transpired as of late. Even the Hillary camp must be saying a collective "Doh!"

Best Camera Right Now - for the price

So, for the price (less than $200 if you can find a deal), this is the camera of the moment.

Kodak - who is not known for their digital cameras, is offering 12 megapixels at an affordable entry-level price.

I checked out this camera at Best Buy - who does price matching. Show them that you can get this awesome camera from another vendor and they will give you their price.

I was impressed with 7 megapixels, so 12 megapixels is fantastic... my friend who purchased this nifty item is pretty satisfied... he has his in 9 megapixel HD mode. I may be treating myself to this same camera very soon!

The Secret Is...

If you haven't seen or heard yet, it's all about The Secret.

Warning-Spoiler:
The Secret is... based on the Law of Attraction... like attracts like and you are a magnet.

Thanks to people like Oprah who is all about The Secret, this self-help movie & book has helped to transform millions of people's lives.

You may already be a believer... or you may be a skeptic - but check it out... you may still be able to find the movie online... try a Google search, possible look under Videos. Otherwise, you can purchase the DVDs - they are a little pricey but definitely worth it.

Great Show - A & E's Paranormal State

This is one of the shows I TiVO. It is about a group of real-life ghostbusters. Check it out, if you dare.

These brave folks are truth seekers who are determined to get to the bottom of hauntings, ghosts, poltergeists, and other "paranormal" activites for their clients - all in their spare time as students at Penn State University.

Also, I think the girl in the middle is cute.

The New American Superstar - Miley Cyrus

You are looking at the next American Superstar: Miley Cyrus.

If you haven't already, download her song, "See You Again."

It's a great song (that uses a familiar beat, "I Wear My Sunglasses At Night")... you can feel her energy come through.

Don't you break my heart, my achy-breaky heart girl!

Starbucks & the Power of Training

Starbucks closes all its 7000+ stores for some barista training. Howard Schultz (CEO) realizes that this was necessary to get the chain back to the happy days of yester-years. Starbucks stock (SBUX) is trading higher today around $19.00 - but is way off the $40 price mark it once was.

Many have said that SBUX over-expanded and that quality/customer service has deteriorated - maybe.

Whatever, I love Starbucks! I am a hard-core addict... I find myself inside a Starbucks at least 5 times a week. Everyone knows that Starbucks has some of the strongest coffee around... I've heard from former employees that it is because Starbucks gets the best beans. This may be true because I've tried other brands and even tried to brew my own - but nothing compares to you, Starbucks.

SBUX stock is a strong BUY now... Howard Schultz is back and the stock can only go up.

VISA is the next GOOGLE

So, I am still kicking myself for not investing in Google back in 2004, when it IPO'd. Google's stock (GOOG) started around $80.00 and is now around $500.00 - but was once over $700.00 recently. Some have suggested it may go to $800.00 sometime soon... maybe in the next big rally season.

With VISA set to IPO sometime this year, I am not going to miss the boat on this one!

This Year's Oscars

So, this year's Oscar's was the lowest rated show - ever.

But you have to consider the "quality" of the viewship they did have... it's not always about the quantity of everything all the time. It is possible that the people who actually tuned in this time are more of the independent and artistic-minded types who follow the smaller, less widespread movies.

Don't worry about Disney-owned, ABC though, they'll get their ratings somehow.
